U.S. Majors Tour to Replace SCCA National Racing by 2014

For an invitational, what are the top ten classes? Is it variable by division or across the whole club?

Is it a point in time measurement or from previous season? Will the classes be different from one invitational to another? Is there additional track time for these events and how do the entry fees factor in as I expect the track costs would be the same for a full -national (Major) vs. and invitational.

:ask:

You here the term "conference " now used in all this, does that term replace the term "division" as we know it, if not, what is the term conference referring to?

Nediv and Sediv is one "Conference". There breaking the country up differently than before just for the majors.

I've seen the tentative Majors schedule for 2013 and the nine divisions are broken up into four conferences as follows.....

1. NoPac, SoPac
2. CenDiv, GLDiv
3. NEDiv, SEDiv
4. RMDiv, MidDiv, SWDiv

Each conference will have six Majors races. Super Tour events will count among these six events. Showcase, Invitational and Festival events will make up the others.

I know our division (GLDiv) will have a schedule after our Round Table meeting on 11/3. Stay tuned.

So I don't have a recollection of how the NoPacSoPac thing used to work but when I see the RMDivMidDivSWDiv it harkens back to the days before RMDiv was established and people came to Pueblo from Tulsa and visa versa becaause it was all part of the Division to get your points to go to the Runoffs. Is this the more things change the more they stay (or return to) the same?
