Mid Ohio Major

The right grouping, and at good times. :mrgreen:

Group 4 – EP, FP, HP, GTL (“racegearbox.com GTL Invitational”)
25 Minute Qualifying - Friday, 9:45-10:10 AM
20 Minute Qualifying - Friday, 3:00-3:20 PM
30 Minute Timed Sprint Race - Saturday, 11:15-11:45 AM
10 Minute Warm-up - Sunday, 8:30-8:40 AM
19 Laps or 45 minutes Feature Race - Sunday, 11:20 AM-12:05 PM
 
That grouping works when you have 8 run groups!!
(I wish we had enough time and entries to make that happen every weekend)
 
Every time I try a enter it blocks me and says "Did you reserve an SCCA ALL-CONFERENCE 3 digit car number?" Anybody know whats going on? Thanks

Same here. Must be a bug in the registration site.

Send Peggy an email... It worked fine for me, and a few others that are registered. Maybe she has it set up where they want to give only people that paid for a 3 digit number registration preference? Doesn't make sense why they would, since those numbers are guaranteed anyway and it doesn't give anything special to those who register earlier vs. later... Probably just a glitch.
 
I've emailed the OVR guy who handles the MSR stuff. MSR had a solution so it should be straightened out soon.

To echo what Dayle said, I received this note from the OVR Race Chair:

"I worked with MSR and have changed the "nesting" isuue. They tested it and it should not hold anyone from registering now.

P.S. the purpose of the question is to identify those with three digit numbers because MSR only allows two digits, and I have to hand massage their entry."
 
Just registered with no problems. 10 weeks from today!

That has been a group at the Mid-Ohio National since 2010, so it's not a result of the 8 run groups. It's definitely a big reason why the Prod group has been so well subscribed at this event ever since, so we need to keep showing that appreciation!
 
Kevin, keep an eye on live timing and scoring for the Atlanta 4:30 pm. Tom and Charlie have a respectful young Dude driving their F car. 88-o

If this guy in Madison is wanting tires for his autocross Rabbit/Golf or whatever get the money before you haul those tires back to him. Sounds like the same toad who put out a request for used tires and ran me around the horn to send them and then disappeared. In either case, I'd get cash first.

Groups got shuffled a little, and we've been swapped with Group 6. I tried to find out why, and was told that the Chief Steward changed it so T1 and T2 weren't in back-to-back groups. I have no idea why this matters, but that's the story. So our on-track times have changed to the following:

Friday
10:55-11:20 AM - Qualifying #1
4:00-4:20 PM - Qualifying #2

Saturday
1:30-2:00 PM - Race #1

Sunday
8:30-8:40 AM - Warm-Up
2:05-2:50 PM - Race #2

Its too bad out of conference races cant be counted. It would be worth the tow to race with that group of GTLITE cars.

Out of conference races count for everything except conference championship.

They count for runoffs qualification and for national points.

It will interesting to see if the "usual suspects" actually do show up. I know of 5 good F-cars parked for the season or running a very minimal schedule. This will be my only outing of the year as I have no interest in the Runoffs and therefor no motivation to run Majors for less track time and increased expense. I heard a similar story from Aaron Johnson on the Blackhawk thread. I have turned my attention elsewhere, somewhat out of scca.

Now before someone goes nuts (as this board is prone to do) I am speaking for myself. The other F-cars have there own reasons for reducing their participation. I simply don't see value in the Majors program from my seat. I am voting with my feet.
 
I need a safe place to leave my car and trailer near M-O from May 19 to 30. I have to travel to Lafayette IN in between. Any ideas?
