Update for you folks.
I'll be taking this over for Eric, for the near future. Be patient I don't come here often.
I'll be converting to a shared Google Document (you'll have access even if you don't have any google accounts)

Great initiative Bill. This should go in a suggestion box for SCCA for all classes and tracks, so members can just log in, search, etc. Hope you come up with a platform they can build upon!

I know there are missing records here (from the posts above).
To keep the integrity of this document, I'd rather update them with official records, so please have those ready if you have new records. In other words, " I think I was under the record at RA by about a half second" won't cut it. Official signed SCCA Race Results only.
You can either link to the records here, or attach files, or email them to me directly.
Over the winter I'll add a more detailed driver section, with track/class/time/date groupings, once I go to Google Sheets school and my car is running again.

I just want to remind folks still here- the records are being updated whenever I'm notified. I don't always come here and add to this thread.
To see the records any time- simply open the link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1XsbiNsCVReJnP-ZI8kk_o46qcjRE8r19KruHG7Sc9ts
and go to the "Archive" tab (at the bottom) to see when the last update was (and what records were broken)

I know there's only 4-5 people visiting here, but I'm looking for opinions.
As you're aware, track records are set only during a race. Going fast in quali or practice is good and important, but you can't set a track record that way.
About 30 of the Production track records are recorded as happening during runoffs qualifying. I really don't think this is reasonable.
One could roll in and get two track records at the runoffs, which doesn't seem right to me at all.
What do other people think?
I may keep them in a separate sheet but not count them as overall or towards a driver or track. That way we still have them if someone convinces me otherwise, or wants to put them back in after I'm done being the caretaker.
