2. How did you know in impound he had won?

Locally, they have a sign that says "impound all" or "impound top x" when you come in.

If you're in the top X and don't go to impound, it's on you. If you don't know, go.

If you go to impound when the sign says "Top X" then you get the impound procedures.

Majors everyone goes. But that does not change the fact that results are not presented to those in impound.

Ok... I find this irony a bit funny.

Remember when everyone scoffed at an official who said gtl had to get real numbers, and not just some Miata with GTL taped on the car? I know that was not the intent, but...

Now that the GTL issue is calmed down, here is my recap of the weekend.

Had high hopes for the new season in a new car. We tested for a half day at Buttonwillow mid-Dec and I was pretty comfortable in the CRX. It didn't handle like a FWD, or at least my expectations for a FWD.

In the first practice session we had a miss that was in the car for much of last season. They finally got it dialed out when the Runoffs rolled around and thought it was in the past. It ran great at the test and not much has changed since that time. Despite having the tuner with us this weekend, we couldn't get rid of the miss. The car wouldn't run well below 6500RPM, going lean at that time. Fuel was added into the fuel map in these spots, but the problem would come back and get worse as time went on. Seemed heat related, but not 100% sure. It was frustrating.

In the mix with those problems, a CV boot "broke" during Q1, which is a messy, unpleasant repair. Because the car had difficulty running well at low RPM, I didn't get much of a feel for the handling, not being able to power out of the corners. There was only one corner, more of a chicane that I could really get an idea of how the car felt.

I was supposed to make a decision for the rest of the year including the Runoffs based on the results of this event. Since I couldn't tell how far off Jason we are, it makes that decision difficult. I don't want to walk away from it without a proper showing, so we are making plans for the next Majors event. Hopefully we will have it sorted out by then.

Sounds to me like the Primary injector (low speed, below the throttle plate) is going bad. But... I'm sure Andrew (the tuner) has thought of this.

I had a similiar issue with the Suzuki years ago. It ended up being a connector on one of the injectors.
