rain tire advice

need a new set of rains 280z ITS car ( i know its a Production car board ... )

car runs 225 45-15 R7's

would you get 205 H2 0's for a little less contact patch in the rain or the 225's ? the 205's are a little cheaper

If you're considering value at the expense of some performance, and the 205 is a possibility, I'd look into purchasing some wet SMW spec miata take offs from one of the 2nd hand dealers. The reality is most of us cart our rains back and forth for far too long without them ever seeing use. The depreciation, both in the rubber and the dollar of owning rain tires is a tough pill to swallow. I've gotten great SMW's from JB Racing Tire in Delavan Wisconsin for my "budget" SM program.

yea, I am carrying around old 2nd hand H20's but they are getting cracks in the sidewall rubber, and i am too scared to actually look at the date codes,

i will take a look at SM takeoffs !
