Vintage Ford 302 V8 Expert?

I've got a Japanese client who is searching for a rebuilt 1968-69 302 Ford V8 short block (or long block) for fitment to a DeTomaso car of the period.

I know nothing about the vintage V8 scene. (Yes, I am a stain upon my Michigan roots.)

Can anyone recommend a reputable shop with which to inquire?

Since you are not looking for a numbers matching engine. You can still get crate engines for the Ford Windsor 302 from Summit or Jegs.

i thought early panteras had the 351 Cleveland in them. only later cars had the 302 windsor and very few of those were made

The Mangusta had the 302 engine, Panteras had the 351 Cleveland

as a pantera owner myself you can direct the guy to Hall Pantera . there are several specialty pantera shops but this guy is the longest lived and they know all the good sources for all things Pantera (or Mangusta if that's what he has...)
