Registration for the MARRS Labor Day Double is now open!

This is why we all like having Dave as our Smallbore rep, otherwise someone else would have to do it.

I had a good view of Ricky Bobby's spin in T1. Dave, you did a perfect 180 and backed her right on into the parking stall.

Kenny, I think you might share some ownership of that gravel pit.

First off....Greg, shhhh don't tell him !!

Fred, I just considered myself as Dave's guest, he gets upset whenever I take part of his pit home with me, but I do have to admit it makes for a nice pattern washing out from the garage door.

On a rare serious note, congratulations to all the champs (sit down Dave), good job guys !!

Fred
If you would like to share your video I would love to see it. I know what happened, but my in car view is probably not as good as the following car view.
I will once again prove that no one is completely useless, as I can always serve as a perfect bad example.

I was very proud of Kenny this weekend as he managed to not hit anything, including the pace car, all weekend.

cheers

What's it say about your week-end when you can't catch the Fiat pace car to give him a little nudge... :ask:

Shirley Thompson told me this morning that we raised $9500.00 this weekend for the charity, American Cancer Society-Relay for Life.
Great job.
Thanks to everyone whom donated or participated in the charity fund raiser.

If anyone has video to post from the melee in T5 during the first lap, I'd love to see that, too. I came out of it with a missing front bumper, starter dragging on the ground, severely tweaked alignment and waaayyy down on power. After Tom pulled the front fender off the tire, I hung in hoping against hope that one of the British cars would get "all british" and fall out of the running...alas, not to be.

Most probably didn't hear about it 'cause it happened back in steerage and had cleared by the time ya'all in the front came back around. First lap, tight pack into T5, someone skated down the outside of 5 and tagged Dave Mapes in the orange Pinto, spinning him driver's left into the tires right at the apex. I had nowhere to go and tagged him as he came around. Bunch of people off and scurrying around to steer clear of it. All continued but I believe my front bumper sat on the apex of 5 for awhile. Folks in the stands at T5 said it was a pretty good show while it lasted. When I came around next lap, Mr. Parker was off in the weeds at T1. Sorry, Dave. Last time I sat out there for a while I discovered a great big culvert that, if hit at just the right angle, would create a giant mess out of someone's day. Hope the culvert's been filled in now.

You guys are killin me.
Sitting in an airport reading the recaps laughing.

I wish I was there, glad some of you had a good race, sounds like a good time was had by almost all even those with spins and offs.
Caroline hope the damage was not too bad.

My new goal is to be with you all on Oct 6-7. Unless something bad happens I'll be there.

Well one of the nice things about the Ricky Bobby Baby Grand is that with my fat ass, and a full load of fuel he only weighs 1500 lbs. So there was not a lot of "discovering culverts" on the trip into the Nesbit-Parker Memorial Gravel Pit. However, I did high center the floorpan on a furrow ridge in the "NPMGP", and was unable to leave due to the fact that my rear wheels were not touching the ground. Since I was there for the duration I sat in the car and watched some excellent racing in the T1 area.

Fred McConnell was nice enough to provide video of how I got there, here www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ixbsgomYb0&feature=youtu.be .
Thanks to Fred for catching me "running out of talent". I got there totally on my own with no one but me to blame.

cheers
