After racing many pro venues, I am used to some guy shoving stuff in my carbs, checking my compression, valve lift, weight.

Open the hoods, check the cam lift and compression,weigh em and send to the bar.
Pros get it taken apart every week.

When I was racing bikes, one of my team mates would always paint a different conspicuous bolt red. When asked he would always reply that the factory engineers had asked that we test something for them. We weren't sure what they were testing, but it seemed to help.

It was always worth at least two places off the start and much rancor after the race concerning our cheater bikes with new mystery factory support.
