Off the self wiring harness

Has anybody had any experience with an off the self wiring harness like Painless Wiring (pn 50001) for example or EZ Wiring? What did you use, was it any good, suggestions?
Thanks

Only thing I've ever used is the pre-wired switch panels. Never had an issue and always easier and cheeper in the long run than sourcing parts and building.

IIRC, you're working on a Sprite. There are so few wires needed for one of these that I wouldn't waste my time.

That being said, I've not used any so I can't comment on them.

Agreed. When I built my car I stripped all of the wiring out of it and ran all new wire with inline fuses on every one. I think it was 6 wires. :D

I looked at using a Painless system when building my Scirocco and decided against it, although I did buys some relays for the fuel pumps from them. They are really made for kit cars and hot rods with many more accessories than we need.

I have a lot of striped wire (like orange with a white tracer) I could run off some and send it to you for a small cost

You normally use tracer wire for sensors

I have (first color primary and 2nd tracer color)

Grn/Yel
Wht/pru
Yel/blk
Wht/blk
Wht/blu
Blk/red
Orn/wht
Red/Yel

What gauges and how small of a cost?

Thank you,
L

I was thinking a bundle of 8 wires 10' long $ 25.00 plus shipping

They are all 16 gauge
