Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca top speeds?

I have to rebuild my gearbox after my last outing and thought I would change the final drive also.
Does anyone know the approximate top speed for an EP car there?
Feel free to post top speeds for other classes as well in case anyone else needs to know.

Current EP track record @ Laguna is 1:39.034 with an average speed of 81.35 MPH by Bruce Ackerman, in 2010 with a Volvo P1800

Track Length is 2.238 miles

So, you have to figure that you'll be doing at least 110 MPH going into turn 2, and maybe 115 going into turn 5. Those are the fastest sections on the track.

For what it's worth, in a carbureted EP Miata at 2275lbs min. I was at 113-114MPH prior to the Andretti hairpin. I expect FI EP Miata's to be higher by 1-2 MPH and the more powerful EP cars 3-4 higher. I don't see any EP higher than 120, but that's only a guess.

In-car from Bruce Ackerman's Volvo with data overlay.

Keith,

The tallest gear you can use in an EP Prelude is a 4.64. I have tried taller gears and they work great for a few laps but the pinion gear starts getting too small with these ratios and will not handle the horsepower the h23 produces. Once the teeth of the pinion gear are gone I find that the car doesn't go nearly as fast.

Thanks Rob,
I ordered a MFactory 4.64 ring and pinion on Monday, I hope it's a good one.
