Looking for help on a new MegaSquirt3 system. Installing in a FP Miata. All you carb guys can tune this out and say "Glad I don't have to mess with that crap" :lol: I'm an old geezer and this stuff is really starting to give me a headache.

Currently running a MSPNP MegaSquirt (which I pulled out of my street car). Trying to upgrade to a MS3, which is built, firmware loaded and tested with Stims. I have the MS3X expansion card and a DIY BreakOutBox to connect to the stock harness. This is where I need guidance since the MS3 has enough options to confuse me.
To start, I would just like to get the new unit in the car as it is - and then add features. I have a strong fear of changing too many things at once and ending up with a non running car.

The MSPNP is setup with Wasted Spark and standard non sequential injection. We do have the Mazda Variable Throttle Position Sensor, GM AIT and Innovate WB. We are using stock Cam Angle Sensor and Stock Coil/Igniter setup. Can the MS3 even run a wasted spark setup or will I have to go to sequential? Should I skip the MS3X expansion card at first and put it back in later?

So-anyone gone down this road before that would care to share? A great starting point would be a pinout guide? Car is a 91, but I believe 90 to 93 have the same factory.

This is not the best time for this sort of question as a lot of folks are obviously at the runoffs as in right now. However this is a regional car which we are trying to get sorted out for our upcoming SEDiv SIC at Roebling.
