Learned yesterday that the LOL Jack Pine Sprints at Brainard will not be an SCCA sanctioned event, but will be a BIR controlled event, staffed by LOL workers. Even though they now have over 75 entries, earlier in the week had fewer than 50 entries, so LOL opted out of their sanction rather than lose big money. (Didn't know they could do that)
This event included vintage and a PDX, I believe. Now the track has added an enduro for $10,000 cash prize! (Details unknown to me) Always a fun weekend with an auto show, NHRA drags, and spectacular fireworks. Saturday night paddock "cruising" fun to watch, but annoying after midnight.
A very good argument for early registration!
