Hot Lap timer pushbutton?

I have an old Hot Lap timer that I used in my slow RX2 years ago. I recall I used a push button rather than the beacon to register lap times : some laps were really slow (when I forgot to punch the button.....).
These systems are out of production so there is minimal old stock available.
Can't find the old cable (been 2 household moves since I've seen some stuff.....) or a wiring diagram to add a push button.
Help???

Would you like a beacon? I have one, along with an original HotLap Timer, and the cable that goes from the receiver to the head unit.
