I've seen threads here before on this topic, but I was unable to locate them.

There are the normal players when contracting car/parts delivery, but I'm also wondering if there are smaller players out there that own a pick up and an enclosed trailer and can grab more than just a car, such as spare parts, wheels and tires, etc. and are open to traveling long distances.

Anyone have a resource who can provide a little extra service verses the larger carriers that follow a cookie cutter business model?
 
I would just post a request to the site, stating that you have "X" to pick up from "Y" to "Z" sometime between X1 and Y1, and see what kind of response you get.
 
I have posted requests on race-cars.com. They have a free parts board (one for road racing, one for drag and one for circle track). I have picked up parts for others from there and had others do the same. Most are racers trying to make gas money for a trip they have to do. Peter
