Hi Folks,
While i appreciate this is not a Vintage forum, many of you have the vintage spirit.
Waterford Hills is having race weekend that may appeal to many of you.
First, we have some special guests : John Morton, Horst Kwech, and
Tony Adamawicz.
A Trans A-M 2.5 B-sedan Challenge race( aka TABS ) and the Vintage Vee's have featured races, both offering full fields and plenty of racing action.
Also, within our race groups is what is referred as "Group 70"
In basic, this run group allows for slick tires, flares, fiberglass, etc.
So if you have a prod car,( YES including G-prod!, or even a GT4- or GT5 car) of modern prep, you can race.
Yes, this does allow for IT cars as well.
Car must be of 1989 origin or earlier.
( Yes, i am sorry to say this excludes Miata's )
We do ask that your belts and stuff are up to date, just like everybody else. The Vintage event does not require a Hans type device.
We also ask your car have a neat and clean appearance.
No dents, tire marks, primer, etc. Patina is fine.
Vintage rules apply, this is not a win at all costs event.
This is a drive as hard as feel you can safely with respect to others kind of event.
In regards to WHRRI sound restrictions, this is the only event where the township allows us to run past our standard limit.
What was 75db, is 105db this weekend only.
In regards to track time and event entry cost,
It's simple:
Friday practice is included.
Saturday is qualifying, and 1 race.
Sunday is 2 races.
8-10 laps each, depending on the heat etc,- per the event chair & chief steward.
( trust me , 10 laps at Waterford can be harder than 18 elsewhere )
Cost ? $335.00. Less expensive than just about anything i have seen out there. We are not cheap, we are just able to offer high value.
Includes a Saturday night dinner pass + a guest.
Not able to race ? Spectators are welcome. Gate fee:$10.00
Paddock 10$ more.
Inexpensive food and drink on site.
We plan on doing this event every year. ( last year was the return of the event )
So here is the chance to start the "Prod-Fest-North / Vintage. "
Questions? yep , i bet there may be a few, Feel free!
Cheers,
