MSR Houston Sunday National

There's about four or five of those and all of them are in braking zones. It's hell on a car with junk shocks since it makes it so easy to lock up a wheel.

... Holy crap my car looks like a 4x4 in that video! back to the junk shocks (and geometry) problem....

But Matt,
Look at what those junk shocks and light springs/bars did for you in the rain this weekend.

Matt, bring the car down and leave it. I'll see what Jim and I can do. I know you don't mind me driving the car for setup purposes.

James, I'll be happy to let someone play with it. But I KNOW it needs better shocks than the cheap JDM yO coilovers that are on it. I was hoping AST would send me contingency crap before the Super Tour so I could turn it in for credit.. I'm considering either the ASTs, or a set of Koni 8611s in custom housings. It also needs lots of other things i.e. new control arms, bumpsteer, roll center correction done as well. the plan for this summer is to race less and iron out that stuff this season so I have something worth racing next season.

My car has Koni yellows. DA in rear & SA in front. Valved to spring rate. Bump steer is a factor but ride height & spring rate can crutch you through that.

Hey James you need more gauges. :D A full setup of analog surrounding the AiM dash? Are the numbers on the digital dash to small for your old eyes?

You're right about the age thing! I like analog because it's unfiltered by some ecu and almost always works. I know where the needle is supposed to be and anything different is important. Funny story: When we installed the AIM, Jim Berg put my analog gages in the wrong order and I stopped mid lap because #2 (oil pressure) wasn't pointing in the right direction. He'd swapped the pressure and temp gages. I honestly could not drive the car until he put them back the way I had originally installed them.

The AIM dash is for lights and "Real Time" lap time. The rest of the display is ignored unless we are doing some testing and I want to see what sort of readings we are getting. For instance, AFM or EGT at different points on the track.
