With that line-up, I had to take notice of their on-track times (central time):

Saturday:
8:30-8:50am Qualifying
1:00-1:25pm Race #1 (25 minute)

Sunday:
8:20-8:35am Warm-Up

I love racing in the Majors! It's so much fun trying to get to the events.

This is from my buddy on his way to Hallett, just east of Denver.

Saturday qualifying done.

Race at 1:00 CST.

Interesting.......only five laps for the leaders. Something must have happened. FCY, BFA? Any words from the attendees?

Matt took the lead at the start but spun to the back of the pack in Turn 2 under braking. Jesse led from there. I gapped the battle between Sam and Nigel to where I could barely see them, but then the MG was coming fast. He went on by me and maybe got a 5 sec lead but then had a throttle return spring break and had to pull the pedal back manually. I caught and passed him for the FP lead but then spun cresting the hill at the Bitch. I re-entered right in front of Sam, who got by me. We ran nose to tail the last couple laps, and Nigel fell back to us but that was how we finished. Matt was driving possessed and broke Tom's track record. Goodale broke and axle and limped around in GTL. Roy took the win.

Didn't pass stall test. They did it when I went to get tools. Disappointed they didn't wait and do all 3 at same time with us watching. They moved him to last in class instead of DQing him. Haven't seen grid sheet for tomorrow so I don't know if they took all his times.

Mine stalled right away and the ball would still be stuck in there if he hadn't pulled it out.

Nice job Eric. He was major fast today. I had nothing for him or Nigel. EP Rick got me on start and must have been struggling. That let Eric and Nigel get away. Rick finally let me by or missed shift. Didn't matter. I was still falling back even though I cut a few good laps. Nigel wounded his car and dropped back. Eric continue to motor.

That made two days I lucked into second. Eric spun on day one towards the end letting me by.

Not all bad. Made a few setup changes that made the car feel a little better on the radials.

Great weekend at Hallett as usual. Great track and people. A must attend event if you get a chance someday.
Matt of course was the class of the field, I just did my best to keep up and was able to do pretty well. Nothing like a faster car to push yourself to be better. That's how Tom Thrash and I did it and that's how Matt is doing it now as well. Tom's record finally fell this weekend after 5 years by 1 tenth. Matt gave me a chance Saturday by spinning on the first lap but did well to come through the pack and in another lap or so he probably would have had me. I'll take it.
Today, he squirted out to a lead and I was able to maintain the gap at about 5-7 seconds running good times when it looks like an upright failed. Somehow made it to the end for second.

There's a new Saurino in town and he's FAST! I was barely able to keep him behind me today for the first 5 laps or so while my tires came in but man it looked like he and Eric had a good race while it lasted. Watch out for those two at the runoffs if they both make it there.

Thanks for the ride.

I do have an observation that I would like to share, please look at your PM.

Rob, I got your note and thought I would post it on here. Rob noticed in the video that the right side net looks low.
While the video from the gopro is awesome for high definition video, it does not accurately represent depth perception. My right side net upper piece is exactly where they say to put it. Right in the middle to upper part of the helmet. Just hard to see in the video. Thanks though!

Good to know. Wondered if the camera was giving a view that didn't represent reality as I know you are a conscientious prep shop. That was why I took it off-line.

Just passing this info along- maybe someone knows someone..

The Hallett management is still looking for the owner of the masn's ring (probably a wedding band) that was left in the restroom on the bottom floor of the tower. Please check with your friends and crew members to see if someone can identify the owner of the ring.

If it's yours or you know who it is, call the track.

I knew racing could strain a marriage but   :? 8)

Now that I think about it, that's not the first one that's disappeared out there.
I lost mine there about 8 years ago when I was paddocked in the grass next to the garages..
