Reminder of the double regional at GMP Aug. 2-3. Seems like there's a race in the midwest every weekend right now, so hopefully you're doing 1-2 of them. St. Louis Region would appreciate your support.
Details here: http://roadracing.stlscca.org/

NOT ONLY is there a double regional on Saturday and Sunday, but the PDX drivers have a relaxed schedule for Saturday, and the CRE (Club Race Experience) people have sessions on Sunday.

Plus a nice dinner Saturday night with St. Louis hospitality. We treat our guests right.

WHAT IS "Club Race Experience"?? On track qualifying and race experience for drivers WITHOUT a SCCA license; WITHOUT a current annual tech or logbook; and the HANS requirement is waived. Your seat belts do not even need to be up to date - just safe with no cuts or damage.

CRE IS a great way to let people try club racing, and it's a great way to bring club racers back to the fun without all of the hurdles. You can even double dip a single car, running your car in IT, FP, HP, SRF, GTL, SM and letting your faithful crew member run in CRE. [Cars need to be SM lap times or slower - so 4 cylinders or very slow 6s. No V8s and no formula cars. SRFs are welcome.]

THE BAND IS PLAYING AGAIN!!

What? Yes, you heard it. St. Louis SCCA is having a band Saturday night during our Saturday night dinner party Aug 2. We tried this last year at our Majors event and people really enjoyed it. [One FProd racer who had to do an engine change loved the fact that he could work on his car while a band entertained him. He said it made the time fly by.]

In these tough economic times our race committee did not think we could afford a band, so we left it up to the registrants. You (our customers) wanted a band, (and checked the box on MotorsportReg saying that), so WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A BAND. It's not the Rolling Stones, Justin Beiber, or Lady Gaga, but it will be fun.

One thing the St. Louis Region SCCA does is hospitality. Come join us for some fun.
