Battery Master Switch

Positive.....because Summitt said so and my old one was wired that way without incident. Ground from the battery is just bolted to the chassis.

+1 on positive. If you are running an alternator, get a 6 post disconnect. This will disconnect the battery, ignition system, but then allow it to connect the alternator out put to resistor to ground. This will save the alternator if you switch off the car while running with the disconnect. (IE: testing of the disconnect during annual inspection)

Wire it on the positive side. But you can also just pull the wire harness plug out of the back of your alternator - the switch will then killl the car without damaging your alternator. When you drive it home simply plug back into your alternator. Real men drive their sporting cars to the track.

Real men sometimes walk back to the pits, with just the steering wheel in their hand. And, franticly looking for a ride home!!! Because they just wrote off their daily driver nickel rocket ship...
