Adjustable race seat

We're thinking about building a LP MGB race car...poor mental health care will do that...the issue is how to install/mount a moveable seat to accommodate drivers of two different heights (74" to 66"). Has anyone faced this type of issue? Any clever solutions? Pictures?
Thanks

You didn't say what type of seat you are using.

There are some "universal" angle aluminum mounts, they bolt to the floor and the side wall has a series of holes to adjust seat height and seat back angle.

Some seats have a good mounting base built in them. Have used 1" square tubing spacers under the seat mounts to adjust seat height. Would suggest welding in a section of round tubing, at the mounting bolts location, to prevent crushing the square tubing with torque of securing the mounting bolts.

It's good to see someone using building race cars as mental health therapy. I have always found it is cheaper than lying on a couch and talking about it. And if not happy with the results you can beat on it with a hammer for more immediate satisfaction.

EZ... There are several heavy duty "lock on both rails" seat mounts available from a whole bunch of race and autoparts suppliers. I'm sharing a Porsche 914-6 race car with a 6'3" driver putting him 9'' taller than me. We're using a Kirkey aluminum seat with double locking rails with one adjustment handle. The headrest is fastened to the roll bar by a telescoping tube (DOM tubing) with 6 holes to take a 3/8ths locking pin. The section on the roll bar pivots on a 1/2 inch bolt to allow for the slope of the seat rails. If you'd like a drawing of the headrest mount I'd be glad to send you one. This setup has passed every SCCA Tech inspection since 1995 and works very smoothly for the drivers and crew.

Bob - that sounds like a good solution. We 'll be using an aluminum race seat. Who made the double locking adjuster?
Thanks
