i think the problem with the gooseneck is that i would have to jump from a 34 foot tag to a 40 foot gooseneck. more weight and it would take up even more room in my yard
you were able to fit both cars into the 32 foot Kevin? any issues? you are right that those are the cars going in there minus a few pounds.
the 32 foot has a gvw of 12000lbs witch works with the recommended tow weight of the truck

Curtis when you say ramp over do you mean one car on top of the other?

Also remember you need space for stuff. Wheels/tires, tools, spares, canopies etc.

I have seen a few of theses tilt platforms. Drive the car up and over center with nose down, drive other car under.

Our trailer is actually a 30ft box (had to confirm), and even with a built in work bench and cainets in the front of it, we were still able to get both the Prelude and the Civic into that trailer. It was really tight, with like 6" in front, in-between, and behind the cars, so you had to get really good at how you arranged your tie downs to make that not a pain in the butt. But it worked just fine. We'd put the Civic in first, physically touching the cabinets, and then ratchet it back a bit with the rear tie downs. Then put the Prelude in, physically touching the Civic, and ratchet it back with the rear tie downs. Front tie downs were just short axle straps between a hook on the floor and a hook on the chassis, not ratcheting at all.

Rick by Ramp over I meant systems where you put one car in, lay a cross bar in with ramps and then winch the other car up the ramps partially over at a 30 or so degree angle. A buddy has a 22' tag that two Miatas will go into this way. I bought a very old Gold Rush with formula car pivot lift and just use the bar ramps and winch with my heavier taller cars in this manner. My trailer has a 26' floor. I can easily put a big 108" wheelbase Corvair and my ex FP Alfa in and still have 4 or 5 feet of floor clear in addition to the goose overhang.

Looks like there are a lot of good ways to skin this cat. Interesting thread.

Sorry Joe. I looked and could not find pics of either trailer with the ramps in. If we have it out of storage this Winter I will take and post one.
