Hey, i am looking to see if there is any good trusted race engine shops around the madison area or within reasonable distance that do full engine work including balancing. the guy i used who was in sunprarie, has now retired and closed his shop. i know the basic engine shops but i want a more race oriented shop. thanks for any info,

It's a little ways from Madison, but I've had good work done by AMS Racing Engines in West Allis, WI. Their website is:

http://amsracingengines.com/

Yard Racing uses them (or has used them) for most of their vintage racing equipment.

Edited to add - if you're coming out this way, let me know and I'll put some beer in the fridge. A quick stop near Delafield...
