Thanks for all of the advice. Wiring on the MGB is now complete!

Anyone have a recommendation on software to draw up a diagram for documentation/archival?

Rick

A big +Juan on this. I need to document my Microsquirt design before I forget it.

Darryl:

I got the same response from Dayle Frame. I'll give it a try.

Draftsight. It’s a 2D package just like AutoCad, but free from SolidWorks.

I use the free OpenOffice Draw (https://www.openoffice.org/download/index.html) - it allows importing images of connectors & devices, and can make straight and curved lines to show connections. For documenting harnesses I build, I add dimensions to junctions.

Darryl’s wiring diagram is great. Notice the battery charger for the total loss system. We mount ours on the outside of the battery box so its easy to plug the car in after a session.
