I run 110 leaded fuel as its what's legal and its what my motor builder tells me to use. I'm also an LP motor (11:1 CR).

Rick - I use 110 in my 11.0:1 B18A1. I'm guessing you won't have a chance to tune to the fuel you're using? What's it tuned for now? 93 octane?

in the chaos of prepping both cars we tuned the prelude with 93 in the tank. i guess we have to stick with that until we make another trip to the dyno?

I blend 110 leaded with 93 for 106 ( which is probably a waste of time) on an LP2 12:1 D16 with no timing or detonation issues. Have thought about trying to get to a high octane unleaded and may experiment next year.

I run the Sunoco GT 260 100 unleaded in both my 11:1 limited prep motor (D15) and my 14:1 SIR B18. No detonation issues, and I get to run closed loop with no O2 sensor worries. The Honda aluminum pent-roof head is very detonation resistant if you set up the squish clearance right (about .025 - .035")

When did the club quit testing fuel, as most unleaded fuels fail the test.

They for sure are still testing fuel. They tested the winners at the Summit Majors in April and the top qualifiers at the Runoffs last year. I have never seen them test at a regional race or anyone down the field at the Majors.

Hmm, there is no longer a specific requirement for leaded fuel.. Fuel must past certain tests.
