Should be an interesting weekend at Road America with the SCCA Rally Cross National Championship and this Majors/Restricted Regional club race both going on.

A good chance to try a few new ideas before we get to October too.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Unfortunately, the SCCA Rally Cross National Championship was moved to Topeka due to some site concerns. :(

Milwaukee Region is still hosting a Track Days event on the Wednesday before the Cat in the Kettle and there is a Milwaukee Region Autocross event occurring at the Motorplex (the karting track over in the Carousel) during the event weekend.

I hope to see you there!

I must say, I really expected the participants to be much higher overall, but particularly the Prod group seems a little light.

Hoping some of the usual names not entered, are not due to health or economic distress.

Terry a lot of people are just taking a pass this year. Even looking at the EP entries for the runoffs, they look pretty low.

I was planning on coming up there but after getting my ass handed to me at Heartland I'm doing some soul searching.

Still planning on the runoffs, but I have just lost a lot of ability the last couple years with not racing much. For the cost of the drive up there, I can run a Majors race in colorado, plus another two test days elsewhere and not really need any time off. It's like a 17 hour tow or something and doing it twice doesn't really sound that great when you're way off the pace.

Again with the "Terry".

It's Tim.

I get the source of the problem, And the CAT is still seeing good attendance relative to a normal year without being the Runoff's track I think last year we were in the 150-180 range. But the % of cars above regular attendance was likely better at the Sprints where everything about the weekend is a little more of a cluster/hectic/chaotic.

I guess I saw the CAT as a better opportunity to refine all things Road America/Runoffs.

My bad Tim. Not sure what’s up with that. Sorry.

Yes 99% of people would agree that running RA before the runoffs would be beneficial. Unfortunately I need a longer diff and quite honestly a little down on it all right now so I went the “seat time” over travel time route. Happens to me every runoffs.

The June Sprints always draw a card, and I think people were itching to get out then too. I'm looking forward to the CAT because it's not some huge stacked field. Just want to run some laps.
