We can still sit around the fire, just be 6’ from each other.

A couple hundred people at the track is different than a couple hundred people in a closed building.

You need to get T&S, the operating Stewards and the SOM all need to be outside. Most of these folks are your older ones.

No timing and scoring, run sessions as you show up, start where you want, let it all sort out during the races.
Better yet, just take times from a previous year or draw imaginary straws on a group text, whatever. I just want to race!

stopwatches and clipboards at the starting line!

... I'm taking this time to self-quarantine in the garage to finish up some stuff on the shop and put the 'new' car together. one of these days I'll get back to the track and play with my friends.

Understand Jesse. I wasn't planning on racing till Labor Day but that itch for speed is starting to be a bit to much to ignore.

I've been out of the car since labor day of last year, and only got to race twice then. I'm one cranky a-hole right now. need to get some stress relief, and the track was my place to do it. Was really looking forward to getting to one track or another soon, but I have a feeling I'll have to settle for a practice day at MSRHouston.

My last race was one day at the August HPR majors last fall. The car was way down on power (20%) and I was only a second or so off my normal pace with some new suspension upgrades. I packed it in the second day.

I've since made two other upgrades that should be worth some more time.

I'm totally itching to get out.

That said, I'm working from home and may be on the short path to getting laid off, which would/should crater my race year.

Via email:
"It is clear from the media reports and the response from workers and
entrants that to proceed at this time with the SCCA Hoosier Super Tour at Hallett
is inappropriate and irresponsible. Therefore, AVRG has canceled this event."

No surprise really but would have been a great race in HP with 6 cars entered.
