The beat goes on out here with the Hoosier Super Tour making a visit to Buttonwillow. Some drop off from entries from last year that I can't figure out why. Oh wait, maybe I have an idea. My first time out since the Runoffs. Looks to be mid 90's temp for the weekend. Practice starts Friday AM with 156 total entries.

All but one or two of these ran the Sonoma Runoffs. Wonder how many will make it to VIR.

I think Aaron Downey won EP both days with close battles with Glen McCready. McCready did take the lap record during Sunday mornings race and was on pole both days. Huffaker beat Taz Harvey in GTL with Huffaker setting a new lap record on Sunday.
Steve Hussey ran unopposed in FP, winning on Sat but having a DNF on Sunday.
In HP Ben Valentine was on pole both days, set a lap record on Sat while taking the win. I chased as well as I could but only could get next to him, never completing the pass. On Sunday, it was much the same, although I did get around Ben briefly before he retook the lead. With a few laps to go Ben's car began to smoke a lot and he pulled off, leaving me with a chance of victory. I was joined on the podium by Cory Marcos and Mike Cummings. I set the HP lap record on Sunday.

Looks like a fun momentum track. I like the 100mph right-hander and the esses.

Some left foot braking to get the car to rotate some in the keyhole type turn 2/3?

Good to see another fast LBC. Is Valentine's car a new build?

EP cars finally stopped trying to out-brake ya.

Speaking of that... when’s that fast, yellow LBC in MI coming out of the mothballs? :D

It's a fun track, mostly flat except for two rises with blind crests. They run the track in both directions, and the esses are even better in the other direction where you have a running start. Valentine's car is not new. It used to run in the SF region years ago, Bruce John owned it. That's the fastest I've seen it go.

The EP (Joe Carr, SCCA mechanic of the year) car wasn't done - see Sunday's race: https://youtu.be/cWPoZpu4mzw

No current plans. We talked about doing it for VIR this year but I’m time poor. Would need to be super tempting Runoffs track a few years down the road.
