Kevin, I did not say Runoffs eligible. I said National eligible. Keep drinking that koolaid. You are very good at that.

Nice job picking one minor point out of my response, and continuing to double-down on incorrect statements. There is no such thing as "national eligible". A class is either "Runoffs eligible" or "not Runoffs eligible", from its inception. After that, "Runoffs eligible" classes then have to work to become "Runoffs invited". There's a difference, and a process, which is all very plainly spelled out in the GCR, and is being followed in the case of GTX, which is the exact thing you were complaining about NOT happening.

So yes, pass me the Kool-Aid pitcher if that's what it means to actively try and positively support and promote this club when warranted, and being willing to counter the false statements and angst of the Haterade drinkers. Cheers.

I think it could be a very cool addition as those cars hit the used market.
Lets face it Big Bore in general (at least at the races I attend) could use any injection of cars, drivers, excitement it can get.
I think it could be a cool class populated by some fresh, well built fast ex-pro cars. Its always great to see really nice well built cars at the track.
One can only look at so many 30-50 year old race cars (and I own a 30 year old race car)
Why the negativity towards it?

Kevin, I know exactly how you feel. Makes it tough sometimes to post, doesn't it?

More cars mean the regions can keep the entry fees lower. Less cars means they have to charge more. All regions are going to run a big bore group so what runs there should not concern any of us. When asked about this at the CRB meeting at the National convention, it was admitted that it was just another place for these guys to run their expensive toys. OK with me for them to spend their money with SCCA.

This pretty much hit the nail on the head.

Great, $1100 for test day, parking spot and race entry! Still get to pay for my golf cart "annual pass", at least this year I'll use the golf cart annual pass a second time.

Pretty awesome. I still need a transmission, an engine, and wiring...
