damn.. hate it when stuff like this happens, but it's better to cancel now than deal with the nasty later.. I'd hate to see a car wind up submerged in a lake that used to be runoff area- that would be bad for all involved.

Man that sucks!
FYI to all of the Area 4/5 and Mid-div drivers that already made the trip and are heading back, there is a divisional at Mid-Ohio this this weekend and it's kinda sorta on the way home.

we left atlanta at 5am this morning after thrashing for a week to rebody the car - finished that at 830pm last nite then an hour to load. about 45 min from the track noticed a couple of cars and trailers going the other way. They must be lost or going somewhere else. Then as we are about to get off the exit, hoosier tire truck going the other way. check my email and boom cancelled. at least the hotel refunded the money. Also good to see the piggly wiggly is still there. 6 hrs up and another 6 back. what more fun can i have on a friday? Oh yea, i get to sit in atlanta rush hour!

On a different note, why not relocate the prodfest to road atlanta during the arrc? sounds like they needed one at vir.

Michael:

Sorry I will not get the chance to see the new car. Mother Nature was conspiring against us this weekend.

Lots of cars heading to Mid-Ohio instead. I luckily was still in my shop about half loaded up when I got word. Continued packing anyways, cause either way, I'm going racing this weekend. Two hours round trip to Mid-Ohio instead of 15. Ohio Valley Region has been great, waived all late fees, open registration 2.5 hours early, sailed people through late-registration, expanded techhours, whatever the could do to help. Bet they get an extra 30'ish entries. I went through registration with four other entries who woke up this morning thinking they were gonna race at VIR this weekend.

Several of our V8 guys from up north are headed for Mid Ohio.

Region may be able to still have the event later this year. Keep tuned. I know many would like to have the track time.

And remember, the Runoffs next year is scheduled for about the same time as this event. Hmmm!

That is a good idea. Re-schedule Prodfest for the ARRC. That would be great way to wrap up the year.

Guys, do not start fretting about weather for the Runoffs next year. We really don't get hurricanes through here that often.
