EP has at least 5-6 folks who could win, most of whom are former national champs.... and last year's champ hasn't entered yet.

Apologies for hijacking this thread...

50% of the entries for the Runoffs 5k to date are Production racers, or family of a prod racer. Thank you!

If you are unable to attend, and still want to support the event, there is a donate link at the top of the page as well.

500 entries as of tonight.

500 x $1,050 = $ 525,000

And the test days

Sat 155 x $850 = $ 97,750
Sun 177 x $650 = $ 115,050
Mon 220 x $450 = $ 99,000
===================
Total $ 311,800

I forgot to add in all of the paddock parking "fees"

I wonder where all of this goes?

Track rental, insurance, ambulances, wreckers, staff travel, staff room, staff expense pre event, specific official reimbursements, socials, worker lunches every day, on line registration fees, driver awards, printing costs such as tech decals/signs/forms, arm bands, equipment rental, tent rentals plus many I can''t think of right now. I doubt the event will break even.

Thanks to everyone who has donated/entered the 5k so far! Especially the generosity of the production racing community. We've received over $500 of new donations from non-runners/walkers and most are from people on this board.

A big THANK YOU!

I want to see a breakdown on how they lose money with those numbers.

Great job by the GTL drives for supporting their class, more entries than the other small bore classes. It's a long tow and a lot of gas for many of you. This goes back to what Peter Z started years ago.

Looks like Sam Henry dropped out of FP in this last cut. That's too bad, I figured he would have a shot. Charlie and Craig making the big trips in FP, along with Lil Bill and Paul coming from CO.

Isley running the #1 plate as the defending champ. Grep Gauper must have a pretty good consecutive Runoffs streak going, unless I'm forgetting something.
