Sorry about all the carnage.

For those of you who were new to the track, did you find it difficult to learn? I've read that it's a harder track to figure out.

This was my first time there. Besides videos, I did a little iracing (I am really terrible! Lucky to make 1 lap without crashing), and the Sportscar write up. Felt like I knew where the track went and confirmed that first session of the test day. Put on stickers and went out for my second test day session (after lunch session) and turned a 1:53.8, my fastest of the weekend. I did find more speed in a few sections, still have a few spots where I know I’m giving up time, and a few where I don’t have a good consistent marker yet.

I felt pretty confident pretty quick around the track. I do feel it’s a track where I had to revive a lot of the old autocross skills I had let slip. It takes a lot of attention, and concentration. I was exhausted after the Sunday race (with the last 10 mins being FCY) and I’m usually not.

When I said I would give you room to get to them I wasn't figuring on that.. Glad nobody got hurt physically.

Get as much Sim time as you can. It helps to know where the track goes over the blind stuff. The biggest single block of time will be from 7 to 11 in the learning process. Going down for this race tells me I will be going back for a couple of drive days and doing the test day..

Joe

Had trouble processing this video, front view, rear view, data and editing out the FCY was too much for me. So here's up to the first FCY with the data out of sync.

Oops. Rear view is flipped. I’ve failed.

Great video.

Who wants to start a collection for some rear-view mirrors for the white RX7 and yellow lotus :)

One time I was told by a guy like that "Back here in the middle of the pack, we race whoever is around us." :snooty:
