I call BS on that one. Cendiv has never put Gt1 and Gt2 in different run groups.

You are absoulty correct it was a T2 car big spender at a Regional with two Porsche. Can't drive them both in the same race group. Closing speed way beyond what should be allowed in the race group. Point being the car doesn't belong in a class with ITA, ITB, T4, SMT.

Agree completely that they shouldn't break up T1 and T2 into two groups just for one big spender. However, as I think about it, this would seem to only apply to Regional/Divisional races because at the Majors, which is the normal path to the Runoffs, there are two races, so for any given weekend you can run one class in one race and the other class in the second race, just as Joe Huffaker and Brian Linn do when they want to qualify for H and F, or F and GTL. Why can't this guy do the same thing? If it is a Regional and the guy wants to run in two different races with the same car, tell him to pound sand - it creates unsafe run groups, and you don't do that to get one more entry fee.

Has anyone officially asked the race chair to move BS out of our group yet?

The race chair is Topeka. They make the groupings for all Super Tour events.

I've asked countless times going back years.

Keep asking.

Preston Calvert is the special snowflake that needs T1 and T2 to be separate. Maybe stop in and tell him how happy it makes you that his convenience is more important than your safety.

<edit> I'm told that Preston has switched from T1 to GT2. It's still the exact same issue, just different letters on the side of the car. So just posting this update for accuracy.

A canoe might be better suited for Friday, but Saturday and Sunday look great. Don't think I'll be rushing up there really early for a soggy Friday morning practice session.

Checking the entry list, Preston isn't entered and I didn't see anyone else crossing over between big bore (G5) and small bore DOT (G7). So there is zero reason to have T2 in small bore DOT at MO.

Mid Ohio in the rain is even more fun than it is in the dry.

Looks like a full field, looking forward to what might be the best FP field in the Northern Conference this year.

Just need the hurricane to pass through, as Kevin said....

Ugh! Muggy, muggy, muggy.......overcast so it’s not too nasty.......did I mention it’s muggy?

Practice was OK for most......the track was a little greasy but my driver (Señor Vickerman) was fastest in HP at a 1.44.7. The FP race will be awesome.

More later.
