If pueblo "goes well" I am probably coming out with the new car.

I'm a little short on gearing so I'll have to sort that out.

I think you'll be a little surprised at gearing at RA. Lots of hills to deal with even though the straights are quite long.

It might shake out ok.

I was there in '12 in my miata. Around here top speeds were just under 120, there it was 133.

So, if I expect a +15mph bump, I'm over my current rev limiter.

I do have the cheaper option of running taller tires, and may do that one instead.

I really stunk in the kink and would like to get through there without killing myself or coming to a crawl.

Anyway, I'm considering it.

I'm amazed at how much of my SCCA life is hinging on this upcoming event at Pueblo.

Looking forward to it.
Honda, Toyota, VW, LBC, Mazda - nice diversity in HP, and strong competition for sure.
Love this race weekend.

I'm joining my sons at their Boy Scout summer camp in Eastern Michigan, which starts on Sunday, but I just really want to fit this event into our calendar.
We will load up the car, and hit the road to camp direct from RA, through the UP as soon as our race is over on Sunday.
(It would be awesome to do that with an intact race car this year. :D )

Not sure where in Eastern Michigan you are headed to, but I think some of the Lake Michigan Ferry's do larger truck and trailers.

I think Milwaukee has service.

If that saves you any time, might be worth pursuing - would be kind of neat too.

There is a maximum limit on length for the Lake Express ferry in Milwaukee. Addtionally, it is obscenely expensive. You need to pay for the car and trailer and tickets for all of the vehicle occupants. When I priced it a few years ago (from MKE to Michigan to go to Gingerman would be a DREAM!), it was over $1000 one way with just me.

There is another ferry in Manitowoc that is slower and costs less - you could try that.

Yep was really looking forward to the ferry, but the schedule just doesn’t work out. I’ll find a crew guy to park the rig in my driveway and take a car over the top.
Going to Coke Canoe Base in Alger, MI
