Congratulations to Rob Garrison, winning a back and forth battle with Charlie Campbell for the FP victory. It was fun to watch on the SCCA live stream, probably better in car.

Joe Moser had another strong performance, leading EP flag to flag and never really challenged.

Warren Montague wins GTL, and Enrik Benazic stayed ahead of Steve Sargis, and wins HP.

Good luck to all tomorrow.

Looks like Moser set a track record with a 2:06.420.

Yup, new EP record. Great races in both FP and HP, with Benazic, Sargis, and Silegren. Warren had some real fast GTL times, beating the FP guys.

Wow that was a lot of fun :) There was some great races this weekend. I was impressed with the National Office. THey really did a great job and made a great decision to move everything up Sunday to get us out early before the weather hit. I drove back into the front and it was horrible.

Coming from behind to win on the last lap Saturday may be my happiest racing moment ever. I have driven better races ( I was not doing well with the 2-3 upshift) and have done events where I raced someone and we passed each other 10 times in one race. But its all for fun and most of the time nobody is there to notice. It is like crushing it at batting pratice or sinking the long putts on the practice green by yourself. To do it at the Hoosier Super Tour with a big field really was a great feeling. And for me this was my one big race of the year. And it was awesome to race against Craig Chima. Nothing against Charlie and Michael and they are both talented drivers and I like racing with them. But I went as a spectator to all but one of the Runoffs at Mid Ohio and that was cool racing for a few laps right behind Chima. When I passed him it was like wow I just passed Craig Chima. That meant something to me.

Sunday I got tapped from behind at the restart and spun. Nothing dirty. Just sort of a chain reaction. I have the video and I watched it a few times and I was not very aggresive and even in slow motion I am not sure how I could have done anything differently. I will post the video. I almost made it back to 2nd. Congrats to Michael and Daniel Thiel for a good race. Michael and his crew did a great job to make his car race ready after some bad luck Saturday.

I also ran my STL car this weekend and so they moved our Sunday race to Saturday so we could make room on Sunday for a shorter day. So I did three races Saturday. And I had no crew for the first time in 12 weekends. And I changed a gearbox by myself Friday between 4 sessions. But I like being busy 88-o Makes me really appreciate having a crew that drives to and from the track and all the little things like putting ice in the cooler and hooking up the trailer etc. I don't think I would want to do it without a crew very often.

And I was paddocked beside the Mosers. They were really nice and gave me hand a couple of times. Joe destroyed the track record in his first visit. Impressive.

Rob,
GoPro's software will consolidate videos, but it's a bit of a pain and takes a loooong time and considerable hard drive space to process. first it converts all of the .MP4 videos to a .AVI file, which is same/larger than the ridiculously huge .MP4.
This takes an hour on my laptop.

Once that's done, you can combine all three files into a single file and export it to a MPEG format file again. This takes another hour or so, but spits out a slightly more reasonably sized monster file..

If you have multiple cameras like I do (front and rear), then you cannot do a picture-in-picture with their software..

Because of that and my desire to overlay data, I bought a copy of RaceRender... This program will take all of the various video files and stack them together, add your data acquisition file and sync all of the various bits of data... I usually use a shift point, bump, brake marker, or other landmark in the track to do that..
My front camera is main video, and there's a huge spot of dead space in passenger floorboard, so I stick my rear camera there, and then overlay the data in whatever other hole in the screen doesn't have much movement. You can add/remove and move around any of the data streams your data acq collects, they're all little check boxes and whatnot in the software..

Once all that's done, the computer will process all of the information and dump it into a single video file. it takes some time to set all of it up the first time, but you can save the setup as a template and it will take much less time the next round. It took me a couple hours of playing with it to get what I wanted the first time, but about 10 min per race after that to load. Then you just have to process the output which still takes some time, but you do it ONCE with the RaceRender compared to multiple times with the GoPro software. It was well worth the price for the software for the ability to do all of that with one program.

Here is my Sunday Video Link. https://www.youtube.com/edit?o=U&video_id=TPzVjQ5PIDY

I got spun on the restart about 8 Minutes into the second video if you want to see that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-NDeyMSJp4o

It was good race. I am glad I won on Saturday or I would have been a bit more upset about it. But it was racing and starts are always the big risk. You only have so much control of them. Later in the race when it is one on one it's a lot easier to point the finger but in the first corner its hard to not get hit sometimes.

Thanks Matt93SE

Good Info. I have two Traqmates and have all the Data. But I have only made a couple of videos with it. I love the look of the Mobius cameras and now they are cheap at $70. I have had 2 go bad though. I think part of it is I leave them around in the truck when it is hot out etc. I have tried other ones and got acheap Go Pro when it was a black Friday special for like $140. It works fine and what I like is the file size is small for the length. I live in terror of deleting the only copy of a race. Half the reason I put the races on Youtube is to save them from myself :)
