Still 2+ weeks to go before the Willow Springs Majors.
West coast Runoffs has seemingly had an effect on the H-production entries, with 10 of the 112 total as of 2/28. Expecting Craig Bryant to add his name to the list. One new name to the list is Lee Fleming. Lee was a front runner in SRF for many years on the west coast. He will be in the ex-Saurino, ex-Tuttle MG Midget, prepared by Huffaker for HP. Lee has also done some vintage racing in a Midget. He knows Willow well and should be competitive immediately.

I won’t be there. Still really want to run there someday. I grew up in the Lancaster-Palmdale area and went there as a kid, but have never turned a wheel. With the additional Northern West Coast events and delays on machine work I just have to see you guys a couple weeks later at Thunderhil. Have fun!

Brian, Are you and Joe planning on qualifying in two classes again this year? I would love to have both of you guys in the FP field to show us the way!

I thought Lee Fleming's name in HP was a mistake. The last time I looked at our group listing also showed one SRF3 which did not make sense to me. I guess we will know for sure on race weekend. I am guessing we will probably have a 1 or more IT cars in our group again like we did at Fontana. The Regional group doesn't look to have enough cars to have there own race.

That's the plan, running two classes that is, not the showing anyone the way. Joe is certainly the target for FP and GTL as Huffaker Engineering has been based at Sears Point for as long as I can remember. I've been there once in the last 15 years, but it was a regular trip for us in the late 90's. So far I've only been there in H-prod but hope to change that this summer. I hope to get up to speed just like you. If you have any questions, I will share my limited knowledge :D

Lee Fleming in HP is real. Huffaker told me about it at Fontana but the deal came together too late to be ready for that event.

The Regional group at this event cant get combined with any other Majors group, it was specifically added for those that just did the Super School and don't have a full competition license.

Jason, That is good to know. I questioned the legality of moving Regional cars into a Majors group the last time and was told It cannot be done at a Super Tour event but can be done at a Majors.

Brian, you are right about Lee Fleming likely bringing some very stiff competition to the front of the HP cars. He will need to learn not to beat on it too much because our British cars are more prone to failure than those SFR cars.

Don't worry, he is in a British car too. I do see the SRF that is somehow mixed in our group.
