It must have a powerful vacuum engine like the Chaparral Vacuum Cleaner car did.

According to Formula One official website: "A modern Formula One car is capable of developing 3.5 g lateral cornering force (three and a half times its own weight) thanks to aerodynamic downforce. That means that, theoretically, at high speeds they could drive upside down."Dec 3, 2017

Seems as though several years ago I read the same to be true of an indy car

Haven't had any races to physically run into anyone. Need a vaccine soon.

A friend of mine in Atlanta had a Capri. It was more rust than car in later life. How do you have a Capri in Ohio without rust? Did you just drive it on Summer Sundays at autocross?

When we lived in Toledo, I had a 2600 Capri, the last year they were made in Germany, that was the most fun street car I ever owned. Quick, nimble, stable; way too much fun. No rust issues. Ford managed to screw everything up when they moved production to the USA.

Sold a Volvo 544 to buy the Capri; now THAT had rust issues.

Don't knock the picture guy. I've been trying to get a picture on this damn site for years and haven't figured it out yet. Just gave up. We rented a Capri for the first few months after being assigned to Norway. Great car for scooting around the mountains. Had the 4 cylinder but plenty of power to get you up and down the hills.

IIRC the Capri Mk1 and Mk2 were both European made. The Fox body Mustang based Capri was North American made.

I had a 2800 Mk1 4 speed. Really nice car with a nice interior but not a lot of power in those early "emission control" days. The 5mph bumpers were incredibly heavy, making the (non power assist) steering quite heavy. Nonetheless I enjoyed it a lot. This one looks like a nice survivor.

I've always had a weakness for European Fords.
