Hi All,

I am considering switching to a new platform and I am posting my EP RX-7 for sale. $11,000 cash. No trades. Albuquerque, NM.

Though it does not have a current SCCA logbook (no SCCA road racing in NM for a long while now), it has been maintained according to SCCA EP rules (it was originally issued an SCCA log book more than a decade ago, which I still have).

*Mazdatrix EP 13B (moderate EP build, not the really crazy porting which can be hard on side seals). ~25 hours since last rebuild. Weber 48IDA, long primary twin stainless exhaust. Always Racing Beat and factory Mazdaspeed parts. Twin MSD 6AL on both leading and trailing.

*Methodically engineered cooling, twin oil coolers and Ron Davis radiator modeled after Mazdatrix's own EP air dam/flow setup. 210 oil and 190 water all day in 95F New Mexico, high altitude heat.

*It comes with a PBS transmission w/ JPM shifter and custom balanced/hardened driveshaft yoke. 4th gear is suspect (still works but notchy/noisy). Right now the car has a factory Mazda RX-7 5-speed, runs great. All of the parts (custom clutch slave, transmission cross member, ect) come for both a PBS and Mazda transmission. Quartermaster 5.5" multi-disc clutch and super rare factory Mazdaspeed lightweight aluminum flywheel.

*Speedsource assembled/setup 5:12 rear end.

*Over the course of a few years, I slowly scoured the planet for all of the original 1990s/early 2000s AWR FC EP parts, I have pretty much the full set. Mazdaspeed/AWR Koni adjustable coil overs, AWR full fiberglass body kit (one of the last ever made!), AWR suspension goodies, AWR brake cooling.

*Currently set up for Hoosier radials. Two sets of wheels, one set unobtainium aluminum Spinwerks.

*Spare stock engine comes with the sale.

I have over $30k into this car at this point (engine was $10,000, PBS was $5000, body $4000). Rotary engines are fun, noisy, and pretty darn reliable! I race this car with our local road racing group ~5 times a year and have a blast every time.

Thanks,
Andrew

Thanks, it's a fun car!

The air box from from EFI Hardware in New Zealand, home to many cool rotaries. I made a custom base out of sheet metal as most Racing Beat intakes place the IDA fuel connection pointed towards the passenger fender side of the engine.
