Ron, have you switched back to the bias tires? If so care to give a reason?

I switched to the radials early on because I thought that with Goodyear already out, that Hoosier might stop making the special cantilevered slicks that we need. I set the car up for them and got used to them and would say even now that they are just as fast as the bias ply tires, and seemed to last longer. If we could plug in some significant rear camber I think the radials might be a better choice, but on a live axle rear we can't.

I switched back to bias ply at the Mid O Runoffs, mid-week. Our sessions were getting shortened on a regular basis and I couldn't get enough heat in the tires to get a good lap in before it was over. The bias ply tires come in quicker. I also felt with all the tin tops behind me that I would need a good first lap or else I would be run over, so I couldn't wait for them to come in.

Now, someone buy my tires. I will take offers.
