I will have a MG dog ring transmission available in Jan of 2019. They will use the MK 9 gears and are of the std. design commonly seen today.
I am taking over a project that was started over 10 years ago by a well-known gear company in Ohio. I have used or seen all the MG
conversion transmissions made over the last 40 years [ I bought one of Tod Wheelers early ones] so I can say the parts produced by this company
are 1st rate. I now need to finish having some aluminum parts made and have the cases machined. The company geared up to
produce a lot of them so they will be very competitively priced with the current MG dog boxes on the market today. The pricing will be finalized
in the coming months

If you have any questions about the box, feel free to ask it here. If you have a pricing question call me or e-mail me at:

Rick:

Is this for A-series motors only, or will you also develop one for the B?

Rick

The fact that I came across this gearbox project near completed is what makes it viable to finish up. I would never have started it
myself because I don't see a big enough market anymore to make it worth all the effort it takes to build a gearbox like this. Unfortunately
I think this is true for the MGB transmission also, so unless another project like the midget one falls into my hands, the answer is, no.
But I have another transmission on the shelf that might interest you, feel free to call me for details.

Rick,

Will you be in the market for core cases, or will these be built after customer ships you his case?

Gear stack for rolling starts?
I'd be interested.

It depends on what 1st gear you are wanting to use, the lowest I have ever put in a midget case is a 18/33.
But I think with some work on the inside you can go 1 or 2 gears lower.

Something around 1.7, 1.4, 1.2, 1/1 is what I'm thinking.

Sam... If you go to the 1.7 or 1.8 first gears run an all metal clutch. Getting out of the paddock is a bear. Coming to the Oct Sebring?

Yes, that is not a problem, As to the problem with driving in the paddock, are concerned with that or going fast on the race track?
