I have been asked by a former customer to make main bearing straps for a 5 main Crosley race (his term) engine.

Several years a ago he bought one of my main bearing straps for an A series engine and so contacted me when he got in the Crosleys. Apparently someone made main bearing straps in the fifties.

I am reluctant to take on the project as I know nothing about Crosleys.

Anyone know an old timer that I can contact who raced a Crosley engine back in the day?

Thanks,

John

John,
I am currently restoring a Crosley powered HM car that was built in the late 50's. Haven't started on the engine yet but I have the "race" motor and a stock spare.
Both are 750's with cast iron block. There are still several companies that offer stock parts but most competition parts like those made by Jabro are no longer available.
Besides HM and Formula type cars the motors were used in 1/4 midgets of the era.
