Thinking about the Divisional path to the runoffs. The SCCA site says that the Majors may count for divisional points.
That make no sense IMHO. Those that run the Majors will pursue the Majors path . The rest of the division races should count. (Minus the Majors .)
Again , looking for the Divisional path for the SE division.

not all divisions are the same. in some divisions there are not enough regional races to have a divisional series. we on the east coast have a lot more options.

What Dick said. in SW division, there's not enough divisional only races to make the majors path. so majors also count for divisional points. the events are really only different in title anyway- they're run the same, by the same people, and at the same tracks. so why not give divisional points to anyone that shows up to the same track for a race under the same banner?

That makes sense if you only have 6 races per year. The SE has about 20 . Maybe just the SARRC should count.

Its up to the Regions to create the Divisional path. Make it what works for your area.

The requirements for last year for the South East div. is listed on the south east division website under the road racing tab. Should be similar to what will be proposed for this year.

2020 for SEDiv is same as posted for 2019. No plan to change. And National says top 50% in points so we will clarify that. SARRC races only.

Currently sitting in the Tech meeting SCCA National Convention. Road Race open Townhall meeting at 5 PM.

SARRC only ? Or with Majors ?
There are lots of races without the SARRC designation on the schedule .

Yes, SARRC only since there needs to be a points series for alternate path. And I believe you can still do two Majors and then any two regional weekends. There was some discussion in a meeting about the finish position in Majors Conference points and Deanna indicated that any three Majors with the required starts and finishes was still there. I'll look it all up when I have a chance. Late for a meeting now.
