Well I'm back from vacation and I thought I'd check in.....several donations were sent in while I was out. Many thanks to Bill, Greg, Steven, Bill and Don. We are doing well in the donation department but we could always use more.

Whether you are competing at the Runoffs or not, please consider as donation to the worker corps. They work ALL our races not just the big dance. And don't forget, EVERY PENNY after expenses goes to the workers. No middle men. You can send me your donation via my PayPal account at hdf3.wtr80@gmail.com.

The next 3 digit donation pushes us over the $2k mark....who wants to be the one to flip that switch?

Dayle

Bump......

One last push before I leave for the races. On Tuesday, I’ll withdraw the funds that have been sent to me via PayPal and check (leaving Wednesday). Please, please, please.....consider making a donation. The SCCA worker corps has earned our support.

Mike Miller and I have talked and are coordinating effort on this gig. He’s doing the heavy lifting on the food side of things. My part is the liquids......don’t forget to get some local brew (local to you) and bring it with you. Sharing a story over a brew with your fellow Prod/GTL is a part of the draw.

Safe travels to all,
Dayle

Leaving for VIR later this morning. Have burgers and dogs in freezer for the trip. Chili pot and fixin's packed too. Grill and extra gas. Looking forward to some cooler weather and lots of great racing. See everyone up there.

Travel safely and trouble free,
Mike

OK....one last post before the gig tomorrow evening.

We’re located in WG-10.....that’s west of the paddock road. You can see the “Gallery" building and tent behind our compound.

Those of you who volunteered tubs, tables, beer, grills/propane, etc. should swing by WG10 and drop off those items at my trailer. The party will begin at 6p BEHIND our compound (between us and the Gallery building).

Any questions? Please text me at 5175759450 or come by our compound.

Dayle

Ill let Dayle give the final numbers but I believe we raised almost $3400 to have split to worker awards.

I also want to pass along some of the gratitude that I received from at least two workers. They were very appreciative of the production group. One of them had to repair their car and received $40 from us to help with that.

Prod/GTL racers are the best!

Eric’s correct (odd......usually it’s Kim)....we raised $3340. That means 83 workers got $40 gifts from us. That’s almost 20% of the worker corps.......great effort on our part.

I, too, hear great stories from workers about our gifts. Melinda arrived on the last day and I had to get her registered.....I asked the crew there about who rec’d gifts. Two this year, many others from years past......all had kind words for us....Hell I even got a hug from one gal in there. On the grid with Bax, I asked the same question......same answer. Pit road was a repeat as well.

Next year I’m gonna challenge other class groups to do the same thing we do. I’ll goad them into doing the right thing. If we can raise this much coin, why couldn’t the FA/FB/FC, SM, SRF3, GT1/GT2/GT3, etc.?
