Still no 2018 SCCA financial statement yet.
So now the question is why such a small organization as SCCA should take over 6 months to get their yearly statement completed and made available to the membership?

rick haynes

This was set to Mindi Pfannenstiel ,Sr. Director, Finance & Administration, Lee Hill and the SCCA BOD
I have a strong feeling there is a lot of financial loss to be answered for in 2018 and the BOD has been desperately looking for a way to misdirect [hide]
the attention of the membership from that sorry fact, this cub is in a pathetic state of disrepair.

Don't worry Rick, they can hire a few more people to look into your allegations. :D

August?
No, not every word of it
But wait did I miss the article where Lee Hill and the BOD explains what all the pro racing loses have been for the last 3 years [2.25 million dollars]
or the millions more lost in pro racing the last 30 years or how much money SCCA Enterprise actually owes the membership for the 35 plus years of
operating in the red at the clubs expense?

was that in the Aug issue?

Charlie,
To be fair that was a snapshot and not a full financial statement. If you took that to a bank, they would tell you it was insufficient and would request a lot more detail.

I understand what you are saying but at the very bottom in the fine print it tell's you where to go to look at the complete audit report. (I did not look at it) As far as what happened in the past we need to learn from it and move on. We can't change it.

And it was in the September issue

2018 is not there. The last one shown is 2017.

As of today the latest statement in the SCCA File under Audited Financial Statements is the year 2017. Not really interested in the shorthand version released in the magazine.

Charlie, we couldn't disagree about this more and your comments must warm the reelection hopes of every current incompetent SCCA director. Your attitude;

"As far as what happened in the past we need to learn from it and move on". We can't change it"

is a big part of the problem because that is what directors count on the membership thinking and that's what all the directors parrot back year after year, "We are working on it, we have made the proper changes and next year will be better" but it never is, just more loses and the same excuses. We all get treated like fools because we act like one. I say no more, it's time to hold them accountable for the incompetents that has allowed this to go on for decades. The outstanding debt by SCCA enterprises can be changed, by restructuring the prices charged for their cars and services so it can start making a profit sufficient to repay its obligation to the membership. Lee Hill , SCCA BOD chairman, races a car manufactured by Scca enterprises and we all got to help pay for it , is the right? How much did SCCA contribute to your racing program last year? The runoffs make money for the club every year, why should that money be used to subsidize the pros racing programs that lose money EVERY year? These problems need to be directly blamed on the people responsible for them, the directors,,,,,,,, And the members for letting it happen.

Rick,

Don't know SCCA's status with IRS but suspect a public issued annual financial report is required by law. Don't know if publication extensions are allowed; do know revisions of past reports occur frequently.

Maybe suggesting that an inquiry with the IRS will "Nudge" the SCCA into releasing the financials; maybe they have been filed with the IRS and not made public.

Can't believe the general membership or Regional officers remain unconcerned. As indifferent as they seem, publishing the financials shouldn't cause any uprising, unless their are really bad.

SCCA; Of & By the many; For the few.

While everybody was busy huffing and puffing, the Club posted the 2018 report. Look in the File Cabinet.
