Operated by SVRA...SCCA Services officiate their races for them.

As far as I can tell the BOD doesn't care what anybody thinks about all the money they have lost on Pro racing or SCCA Ent. Certainly not me anyway. Soon after SVRA and the Trans -am link-up was announced I ask my area director and Lee Hill about it and neither would tell me anything, sighting a confidential contract as the reason. Given the past record the SCCA BOD has in entering into bad contracts, I believe the real reason is Tony at svra put something over on them and they don't want to own up to it.
Gee wiz , just like so many times in the past. I hope they were at least smart enough to get some upfront money and be free of any loss's.

mlewis, I have no reason to doubt your comments about the time you were involved with pro racing, maybe it would have been better if you had remained in charge.

Okay - I give up. Where/how do you find the financials etc?? A search thru the SCCA site turned up some forum posts but no responses or links.

I believe they publish in the June Sportscar magazine.

Sign in on the scca page
click on your profile
go to the 'file cabinet' on left of the page
got to 'Audited Financial Statements'
pick your year
2018 isn't out yet so I had to make some inquiries about it

Not a lot of detail in them, it is in accounting speak and keep in mind, I think bookkeeping was invented to
keep others from knowing what is going on with the money.

Mike Lewis is very very insincere. It is true that the SCCA has to disclose its financials by law and does. What he doesn’t tell you is that it only discloses what is required by law, nothing more. It’s incredible how much revenue and expense can be manipulated and moved around behind the required disclosures.

Interestingly this as it relates to Pro has been going on since the clubs beginning. I can read the same concerns and goings on in my 1950s era SC Magazines.

Personally I gave up on Club Racing 10-15 years to late. If I had known how much fun it is to vintage race, watch the TA series on SVRA weekends, spectate at the Runoffs, and interact with just my local SCCA Region I would have given Topeka the big FU a decade earlier.
