No doubt that any track is a challenge if you go fast enough...……….but my thing is momentum cars not scary beasts like my C6 Z06 daily driver street car.

Some of my HP friends say great things about places like Lime Rock etc. Plus I understand that Nelson Ledges just got repaved so that ought to be silly fast in a momentum car. Any track where an FP car can average >90 mph is super quick. Haven't been there in > 5 years.

I'm missing a lot of super famous East coast tracks so maybe I'll focus there next.

Got Laguna seca off my bucket list 2 weeks ago and I must say that at least in a small production car I was WAY underwhelmed. Super low speed overall, only 1 blind corner, textbook corners mostly, no high speed stuff at all......sure the corkscrew was different but I could not relive the same kind of thrill from tracks like VIR uphill esses, Barber blind corners and jumps, Watkins Glen 2 AND 3, Nelson Ledges brutal high speed, Road America kink, road atlanta bottom of the front half esses and last corner etc, etc.

For those who disagree and love it...….what did I miss? Maybe a 71 horsepower classic mini cooper neutered the experience for me and I need to return with more grunt.

Thx, Jay

Well, it used to have high speed pucker turns at turn 2, turn 3, turn 4 when it was a 9 turn course.

I still like current turns 5, 6, 9 & 10 but I would much rather race at Sonoma (Sears Point) if I have a choice.

Michael,

Yeah I agree...…….Sonoma is much more interesting. Plus you are right on the south end of wine country. Jan's favorite winery (Laird) is nearby! Jay
