Sebring has moved their paddock access time forward. Wednesday, Jan 9th at 2 pm everyone, test and non test, will be let in to setup for the weekend. You will have to sign track waivers and receive an arm band on your way in. Gates will be open from that time on to the end of the event. SCCA registration times have not changed. Thursday afternoon Tech will be doing car inspections inside the paddock.

If anyone has another site they can use to pass on this info please do so.

Being able to move in and set up as we arrived was far better than the previous years when we had to line up and wait.

I believe getting into Sebring depends a lot on whether or not they have someone testing. Some teams that test do not want anyone else in the facility when they rent the track. And management has changed at Sebring and having worked with him at another NASCAR facility, he may be a bit easier to work with than some in the past.

Central Florida Region has made great strides in working with management at both Daytona and Sebring. They are to be commended on the relationship they have established. Many of us remember the days when you could get into Daytona until early AM on Saturday and you had to be out by 7 PM on Saturday night. No exceptions. We changed a transmission on Saturday night over at a beach hotel while 6 seniors pulled up the lawn chairs and sipped their beers while watching the excitement.

Jim is correct. The change of management to someone who actually knows how to run a race track has been really great for us in CFR. Thanks to them bringing in a gate guard a day early we were able to bring in over 135 drivers and no telling how many rigs and crew members in 22 minutes. We started with lines of rigs going all sorts of directions as far as you could see. Great cooperation from everyone and we're glad it worked out as it did. One thing though... if that track is rented we have to stay out until they leave. What we try to do is get everyone signed up on the waivers so all the participants have to do is show an arm band to get through the gate. It's a shuck and jive business and we try to react as best we can. Also, the track took down all the fencing on the east side which opened countless square yards of paved paddock. That's really supporting your customers.

Bob

as a guy coming from the west coast with a couple other cars in a group we really depend on things being 'easy'. CFR made things very easy this year and we REALLY appreciate it! thanks guys (and gals!) the entire event was excellent...

PS. Same with Homestead
