Watkins would be awesome and was my pick, PittRace is a fantastic track but lacks the prestige and infrastructure, NOLA will be a great choice when they build the other half of the track (like the story of PittRace), Barber I'd totally go to just because it's so nice and a real fun track to drive. COTA just doesn't race well for our cars. Its built for things that are waaaaay faster. If it ever goes there, budget for a new gear box...

My pick was also Watkins Glen but my second pick would be PittRace. I disagree Kevin. The track definitely could handle it and they have just as much or more hotel and restaurants within a 30 minute drive than the Glen and VIR.

It’s miller time.

Three in a row on the east side of the country? Imagine if there were three on the west side. The growth out west would be amazing.

Since it should be back on the west coast then.... Thunderhill. Or maybe the Ridge. Neither has paddock space. But there’s time to pave before then.

Perhaps they could follow in Skip Barber's footsteps.

Years ago when it came time to repave Lime Rock, he(Skip) cleverly tacked on a fee to every race entry which was called " Help pave the Park fund"

Now I don't know how much he actually ever collected or how much repaving we paid for , but here you go..

You to could help pay for the very asphalt you park your rig on.

Some people can find clever ways to pay for capital improvements and this was one of them.

I personally despised the concept and silently cursed him every time I paid the extra fee.

Yeah, that worked well for Thunderhill. I remember when the San Fran region temporarily upped our race entries in order to build "our track" that would assure race dates and reasonable entries... entries never went down...

I would expect a West track in that year, so I chose others.

Road Atlanta
Watkins Glen
Barber

Are how I would pick from that list at the moment.

Let's have it at Road Atlanta. Run over eight days. Half runs 4 days and the other half 4 days. There is really no reason to run every day for a week and then sit for a day or two to run your race.
Testing? None. Support the club racing by going there to race ahead of time.
In case you didn't guess I like Road Atlanta. It has the right combination for power and handling.

Road Atlanta! Always been a challenge ever since they built it.
