Jay you are waaaay over thinking this. It just lays in your helmet with double face tape. I have had zero problems with this. When you remove your helmet the unit stays in your helmet.

Wait! You're suggesting that Mr. Engineer might be overthinking this.

For what it's worth, I used one at Sebring for the first time a couple of weeks ago. I don't wear a sock so I just plopped it on my head and then put my helmet on. Ran the water through it first and then the shirt. After getting use to the brain freeze, it was great. I had no problems with it moving around during 20-25 minute sessions, it stayed where it was. My helmet is not too loose or tight And the added thickness was not noticed. I will definitely use it again. Just my $0.02.

David.....……..we've done enduros together.!! Overthinking and over complicating stuff is what engineers DO...……...and I am certainly more quilty than most. Did you ever look closely at my old HP car???

Anyway..……….you know you love it. Plus, who would you rather race with, an over thinker or an under thinker? You can't however factor in the mental stress that this choice adds.

You should just buy in to what my drivers suit opines.
