STU and "B" Spec now National classes. How many National classes does that make? 24 limit no longer applies?
If you race a car no longer supported by a current manufacturer, should you be nervous?

Maybe we all should step into the economics ofthe 21 century. Road racing is racing with/passing cars. If we all 69 classes of cars can't race together, Runoffs included maybe some of us should start Soloing. We race all year in mixed classes, maybe with our club persona we need to change. Please don't start any BS about bumping cars because this year in one specific production car class there was plenty of close racing with nose & tail damage. SHIT happens when people race hard for gainging positions. There was even a side issue with two production Miatas back in the field that ruffeled each others car sides up a bit.
Many of you want the good ol days where only the best of the best raced at the Runoffs. How many of those best of 4 or 5 from each class would like to pay the fee if only 4 or five were invited?
You can't have everything today at yester years cost. :think:
If your going to let the harpoons fly, please tag the harpoon with a 21st century message on how to continue races into the future without some reasonable changes.

Whatever “reasonable changes” are made there will always be organizational driving factors that can not be changed – there are those who have spent a hundred thousand dollars during a Runoffs week – the names and the cars change quickly – rules change every year - with a few exceptions almost all the workers are volunteers – racers can only guess at which track the Runoffs will be held ….. growing up in Wisconsin to my father curling at Wauwatosa was a winter must – to me so distant – father began curling in his 20s and finally stopped in his 70s - no two people think alike – the Runoffs require you take over 500 ideas and meld them into one – to win requires more than an average person can commit – as you point out without the “average” attending the Runoffs the number of entrants might not be more than 100 ….. we do what we value – as long as we perceive value we keep going – “reasonable changes” must retain the sense of value that brings one to the game in the first place
