Agreed David and it wouldn't work in a road racing application anyway. Neither would the first one that Mike linked to although that is a sweet piece.

Agree Jesse, any gate keepers which eliminate missed down shifts are fantastic. Missed up shifts generally not so costly.

Did you have any cars/engines at 2018 NASA/COTA?

I think the key question is do you have any cars/engines at 2018 NASA/COTA that survived the crashfest?

Matt, was referencing Spec Miata class, hadn't read about any Spec Miata crashfest. $131,000.00 purse for Spec Miata class with $70,000.00 to the winner. 88-o

I try to avoid building engines for that class however will have a couple of guys at the Runoffs in SM, Charlie Campbell and Tristan Littlehale. Other than that, it's mainly Prod and STL for me.

Bob Schader was at the COTA nationals last weekend with his MX5 I built for NASA and did ok but didn't win his class. Strange classifications in that NASA group I tell you. Strange.

Read where several of the guys who are planning to go to the Runoffs had to load their cars with a forklift after post race teardown. Apparently, they disassembled the cars down to the unibody and kept the shocks for later testing. Wonder how much it will cost them to get car reassembled?

there are a couple versions but one that caught my eye is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4jeiPbsi0lI
they are using it on a tremec transmission (t5, t56). Just looked interesting.

The Bremer one looks completely viable for Road Racing. Looks like a nice piece (expensive,,, but less than a real sequential).
After watching the Bremer you tube video another similar one popped up call S1, looking like its also aimed at Tremec trannies.
Obviously one of these guys figured out how to do it for a Tremec and then one copied the other.

The 2nd one linked the Stillway with the plate and the twisty collar thing, that one does not look viable for road racing.

I have a GForce road race T5 in my car. With as bad as most of the available T5 shifters feel,,, I wouldnt mind having that Bremer shifter at all.
Looks like they are not yet actually available to buy, but that one is worth keeping an eye on (at least for me, my class has no real rules).
